Okay, I've started this thread to discuss the campaign wiki and the project timeline. First of all, we need to figure out how we want to organize the wiki and what our options are for setting up a wiki. It looks like NWCitadel is using Media wiki for the NWN2 Custom Content Wiki. I know very little about wikis aside from using them, but I have been reading some general articles on the subject over at wikipedia. If anyone has more experience, please speak up.
To start with, I would like to propose these general categories for the wiki: Geography People Magic Items The geography section would follow the general format of the FRCS and start with major nations/regions, and then drill down to individual cities and terrain features such as mountain ranges, rivers, and forests. In each article for a geographical location, we would have a section that gives an overview, a section that details what has happened in that area so far (listed in a rough timeline format with each entry by year), and finally a section that links to other resources, such as prefab areas. The people section would have articles for important NPCs (whether they are major NPCs from the FR Campaign setting or important NPCs from modules. As with the geography section, it would follow the format of 1) background info, 2) current developments, 3) resources (including links to prefabs) The item section would be similar to the above two sections, but would have articles on major artifacts and/or magic items that appear in modules. For instance, if the Wand of Orcus is destroyed in a module and then reappears in another module, these need to be noted. So, what do you think? |
