Well Puppeteer,

These are just ideas I had for my old PnP game world for some magical items (the Ever Returning Arrows) and the recovery options are just more idea spinning.

If you could make them come back magically *(which I read as nearly instantaneous without player intervention) then the magically returning arrows would be a possibility. If it could be done with arrows, then sling bullets, possibly spears, hand axes, javelins (which I don't see in the list of weapons,) shuriken and anything else hand or missile thrown is also on the list. At least as far as I can tell in the conceptual stages of this.

As a script goes, I don't know if you could count a stack and set a script to keep track of it as they are fired off and then set a percentage for returned to stack at end of combat. (I guess it would be the last action in the script OnCombatEnd, Add 60% Missed Missile shots in combat, then add them to the stack.)

This is just crazy stuff that I think about alone in the room in the dark stuff.

If you can figure something out from it, great. If not, nothing is lost.
